Bear Creek Animal Clinic

Very Expensive

Frankly, I am not impressed with Bear Creek Animal Clinic. The one good thing I have to say about them is that their hours are longer than most vet practices in west Houston.

This clinic tends to practice veterinary care on the lines of human medical care. You will be charged to walk in the door; you will be charged for every incidental supply like cotton balls or needles, and your wallet will be a great deal lighter when you walk out. They are very reliant on unneccessary testing as well.

I have tried this clinic three times in the past because my regular vet was unavailable on a weekend. Each of the three times resulted in losing a whole lot of money, and misdiagnosis. The worst misdiagnosis was a dog who ruptured her ACL ligament. We were told she sprained a toe. ??!! The dog was taken to the regular vet the following Monday and properly diagnosed. The injury required TPLO surgery which was done at Gulf Coast Veterinary Associates with great results.

If money isn't an object, then use Bear Creek Animal Clinic.
