Avoid this vet!

I took my cat in on Dec. 21 2007 and they wanted to keep him overnight. Somehow, under their care, he got up into the ceiling through a ceiling tile. He was up there for 8 days. Finally my husband heard him and got him down by climbing up in there and ripping off boards to get to him. He was trapped in a small drop down he had squeezed into. Doctor Frerking seemed bothered by us coming in every day trying to find our cat. He never got a contractor in there to find him. He kept saying he'll come down on his own. If we would have waited on that, our cat would have died up there!

I let all this go and went to new a vet. Today in the mail, Dr.Frerking sent me a bill for $86 for my cats visit. I am in disbelief. No apologies and a bill to boot. The entire thing traumatised my husband and I as well as our cat and ruined our Christmas because of their neglect.

Dr. Freking and his staff are great. In my opinion Dr. Freking goes above and beyond what most vets do these days. Our dog got into a scuffle at the dog park in Southern Highlands. Even though it wasn't a big deal I was worried. I called the after hours line and was immediately put through to the Dr. He came in and treated both dogs without complaint or giving off any other vibe than "whatever I can do to help" I along with so many others in Southern Highlands feel so grateful to have a wonderful vet in our community. I would highly recommend South Valley Animal Hospital. They are compassionate, up to date on the latest care and are true friends to our best friends!

I have had pets all my life and of the many different animal hospitals I have delt with throughout the years I must say Dr. Freking and Dr.Minor are the most genuine, reliable vet I've ever been to!!! And their wonderful staff are top of the line! The facility is kept clean and smelling good. The receptionist are always courteous and friendly. The doctors are all very professional and caring.
They are always eager to help!

Dr. Freking and Dr.Minor are the most caring and detailed when it comes to treating my dog! They have done more to help me find out what's wrong with my dog in the past two years and any other vet has done in then years.

I have developed such a complete trust with Dr. Freking and Dr.Minor and their staff members that I can't imagine taking the dogs elsewhere. They ares patient, sencere, wonderful and takes the time to talk to me, easing any worries I may have.
